The new administration building for the Institute of Science and Technology Austria is an important landmark on one hand for scientists and researchers but also for the local community, already-present due to its location on campus. The building is not only perceived from different angles, it also has to meet the different expectations of users.
Therefore, the project aims to translate the various functional requirements and visual references into a moving structure which produces lively and inviting spaces. The building defines the campus both internally and externally. Its localization next to the main entrance and near the central access road to the campus area results in a strong influence on its environment.
