Excerpt from the jury minutes:
The design idea is based on the interplay of a semi-transparent shell in the form of a “sequin dress”, which provides insights into the depth of the plant through large, arch-shaped openings. The dress becomes a veil that is partly covered, partly reveals the view of the underneath, and produces a differentiated appearance depending on the angle of view. The different dimensions and the arrangement of the circular aluminium composite elements suggest dynamism and liveliness. The gradual transitions from open to closed shell metaphorically mediate the process of converting solids into energy.
